Financial Reporting Tool

This guide will help you use the OBRAN MONEY OPS tool to create and view financial reports, primarily focusing on Profit and Loss statements.

1. Accessing the Tool

  • Go to the page where the OBRAN MONEY OPS tool is located (likely at app.obran.coop/accounting).

2. Choosing Your Report

  • At the top left, there's a dropdown menu labeled "Report."

  • Click on it to select the type of report you want to generate. Currently, "ProfitAndLoss" is selected, but you might have other options like "Balance Sheet."

3. Setting the Timeframe

  • Use the two date picker fields to define the period you want to analyze.

  • The first box is for the start date, and the second is for the end date.

4. Customizing Your Report

  • Select Accounts: Click this button to choose which specific accounts you want to include in your report.

  • Select Companies: Similar to accounts, click this to pick the companies whose data you want to see.

  • Filter for Consolidation:

  • Checked (default): The report will show the combined financial performance of all selected companies, removing any transactions between them.

  • Unchecked: Each company's financial data will be shown separately, including all transactions.

5. Other Options

  • Include Invalid Data: If you suspect there might be errors in your data, you can check this box to include potentially invalid data in the report.

  • Clear Cache: If you've made changes in your accounting system or want to ensure you're seeing the most up-to-date information, click this to refresh the data.

6. Generating the Report

  • Once you've made all your selections, click the blue "Load Report Data" button.

  • The report will be generated and displayed below.

  • Note: The first time you load a report, it might take a bit longer.

7. Downloading the Report

  • Once the report is generated, you should see a "Download Report" button.

  • Click this to save a copy of the report to your computer.

Additional Tips

  • The left-hand sidebar (might be hidden on smaller screens) lets you navigate to other sections of the application.

  • If you need to adjust any settings, click the "Settings" button next to "Load Report Data."

  • Don't hesitate to experiment with different combinations of filters and selections to get different views of your financial data.

  • If you have any questions or need help, reach out to your system administrator or support team.
